Mike Buccino

Mike earned a master's degree in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Northern Colorado in the Spring of 2008. While attending UNC, Mike performed with Lab II (big band), the Salsa Combo, and the Symphony Orchestra. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of styles, including rock, jazz, funk, classical, and latin.

Mike has performed with nationally acclaimed musicians Dana Landry (piano) and Jim White (drums), and accompanied world-renowned trombonist Paul McKee during a Greeley Jazz Festival clinic. In addition, he has spent the last several years working as a music instructor for several music programs, jazz clinics, and music workshops, including the famed "Paul Green School of Rock Music" (the basis for the movie "School of Rock" starring Jack Black).

Mike currently performs as a freelance bassist (both electric and upright) throughout the DC metro region.
